We are looking for the highest annualized compound rate of return over the long term; we strive to always stay ahead of inflation. We do not focus on asset allocation, the economy, or the markets. Rather, we direct our attention to finding the best investments possible at any given time. Our portfolio is concentrated, as diversification (in the wall street sense) is not an effective hedge. To diversify we look for only the strongest businesses, the best management and different asset classes.

As a result, our approach is long-term. We prefer to keep our investments for as long as possible and favor not selling our investments, except in the case of a significant arbitrage opportunity.
